Associate Vice Chancellor for Budget and Data Analysis
Lindsay Farling was named the associate vice chancellor for Budget and Data Analysis at UNC-Chapel Hill July 22, 2024, after serving as interim associate vice chancellor since May 2024.
Farling oversees the operations of enterprise-wide policy and data analysis, the University’s financial data analytics and reporting, and the University’s Budget, Planning and Analysis (BP&A) department. With extensive experience in financial analysis and knowledge of the UNC System and state budgeting, enrollment funding, and tuition and fees processes, Farling offers Carolina valuable expertise that enhances the University’s financial strategies and decision-making processes.
Before assuming the associate vice chancellor position, Farling served as executive director of Financial Policy and Data Analysis at Carolina from 2022 to 2024. Farling also previously served as the vice president for Financial Planning and Analysis at the UNC System Office and was employed at UNC-Chapel Hill from 2007 to 2012.
Farling is a native of North Carolina with bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and biology from UNC-Chapel Hill and an MBA from Elon University.
